Game Log #2

Here is our game log for the interim between the presentation of our alpha and beta builds.Planigma is making great progress in the development of 24. Our schedule and overall goals remain mostly unchanged, although we have decided upon some slight modifications and improvements thanks to testing feedback received on Monday, November 4th. Our most significant changes are listed below:

  • Display of permeable objects due to tunneling has been changed. Instead of being entirely invisible, they are now faded and transparent. This helps prevent the player from accidentally destroying himself when canceling the tunneling ability.
  • Each level will be longer and present at least two types of obstacles. There will still be three levels, and their difficulty will progress.
  • Instead of informing the player of the controls through a splash screen, the first level will be a tutorial level to introduce them to the controls and key concepts.

By the beta, we anticipate having two playable levels, both of which will be different from those presented in the alpha. The first will be a tutorial level, and the second will be a level focused on avoiding homing projectiles.
