Team Outbreak: Game Log, Week One

Week 1 (Oct 21) – Player Movement

By the end of  the first week, we were aiming to adapt the player movement from Charles’ Project 4 prototype. Instead of directly editing the avatar’s transform position, we wanted to use Unity’s 3rd Person Character Controller. Unfortunately, we did not get around to finishing it this past week as we all had prior commitments that made it difficult to schedule a time to sit down, discuss our plans, and code. On the bright side, because the adaptation process shouldn’t take that long, we should be able to get both the new character movement, zombie movement, and simple shooting done by the alpha. So as of now, we are still on track to create the functions that we set for the alpha milestone.
