Weekly Log [11-5 to 11-11]

This week we focused on the addition of various power ups to our game.  We made it so that the player is invincible when they make a dash, putting down the framework for adding power ups that grant you invincibility for longer.  When they player is invincible, they have a shield around them that deflects nearby bullets.

 

We also looked into methods that would let us implement another power up we are planning that would allow you to slow time.  This would slow down all of the bullets as well as slow down the song playback speed.

 

We also added all of the graphics for the power ups we plan to add, and changed the GUI design slightly.

 

Other minor changes include editing the level in response to some of the criticism we received during the alpha testing, including making some areas of the level more simple and changing the color of some bullets to make it less confusing.
