StackOverflow weekly log 11/18-11/25
What was planned:
- Work on power-ups / boost pads
- Finish level design
- Add polish / sound effects
What was done:
- Began initial work on boost pad but it’s not completed yet
- Some changes were made in the level design (making it longer and adding more obstacles) but it’s not done either
- Added explosion of ship after death and added a more appropriate background music
We spent more time implementing suggestions from the initial playtesting, such as better ship control, eliminating the quick death in certain occasions, and designing the level so that it incorporates the ship’s abilities (barrel roll, and flying vertical) and that used up some of our time for the week so we weren’t able to do everything we planned. That has set us somewhat behind schedule but we still feel confident that we can implement most of the things that we intended on doing.
