Argon

The paper presents the Argon AR web browser and the standards and technologies that goes into designing applications for it.  It gives us an introduction to how content can be displayed as well as the KARML markup language, which is an extension on KML.  There has been related work done in this space from various different products and technologies but none of them were designed to be as accessible to developers as Argon.

The biggest benefit of Argon is that it uses open standards whenever possible and is integrated with web technologies.  The integration with mobile and web technologies make it easier for developers to integrate their apps with networking, a very important feature.  One bad thing about mobile devices is the inaccuracy of the GPS.  Argon has a feature called GeoSpots that will allow users to manually specify where they are in application, which allows the app to accurately know where the user currently is.
