The research activities of the AEL are supported via a range of collaborations and funding sources. We collaborate with researchers in various units across Georgia Tech and the Georgia Tech Research Institute, as well as folks outside of Georgia Tech, such as with researchers at the Naval Research Lab in Washington, D.C, the HITLabNZ at the University of Cantebury in New Zealand, and Graz University of Technology in Austria.
Funding for our work has come from the National Science Foundation and the Office of Naval Research, as well as gifts and contracts from Alcatel-Lucent, Apple, Media Power, Motorola, Qualcomm, Siemen’s Corporation, Sun Microsystems, Texas Instruments, Turner Broadcasting and Nokia.
We are also grateful for equipment and software donations from Apple, HP, Media Power, Microsoft, Nokia, Notorious Solutions (Mobex3D), Sun Microsystems, Texas Instruments, and to support within Georgia Tech from the GVU Center and the College of Computing.
We thank these sponsors for enabling our work to proceed, and would be happy to discuss funding possibilities (and the associated benefits) with interested organizations. If you are interested in teaming up with us on a project of mutual interest, or in funding our work, please contact the lab director, Blair MacIntyre.
