The targets are also a nice touch.

I like the way you can fly downward to gain momentum, although always having no input equal perfectly horizontal, aiming at things is kind of difficult.

The fireballs and the controls definitely enforce the feel of controlling a dragon.

The idea of controlling a dragon is really cool and I am happy to see someone try and implement it. I really like the flapping of the wings when the dragon ascends, as well as the effects when it goes really fast or close to the ground. The targets were hard to hit, so maybe crosshairs or an indicator of where the fireball would strike would be nice. I didn’t like that you didn’t put too much polish on the game, but with such a formidable task at hand to simulate flying a dragon, I think you did very well. The game feel was not too bad, and the textures (the ones that were there) helped your game. Well done!

The flying mechanic feels very intuitive to control, I was able to hit targets from the very start of the game. Polish effects to convey the speed of the avatar were also done really well. Graphically, I thought that the use of shadows could be improved. I had difficulty determining how far off the ground I was when diving because the shadow only flashes under the avatar right as contact is made with the ground. Maybe the light source could be angled directly on top of the avatar? Also, the size of the fireball particles makes it a little hard to tell where the fireball goes immediately after it is fired. Overall, it’s still a killer prototype. Nice work!

Definitely the most fun and unique game that I have playtested so far. I really loved the feel of the dragon. He felt exactly how I would want a dragon to feel, not too nimble as movement in the air is obviously difficult. I also found the method of gaining speed to be really cool, having to fly up and down in a wave made me feel even more like a dragon. The fireballs were awesome as well, the effects coming off them really sold me.

I think this game could really benefit from a more defined goal. Perhaps making it a racing game where you have to hit checkpoints and the fireballs you shoot can slow down your opponents? Or maybe making it almost like a shooter game where you have to hit a certain amount of targets. Having a specific goal would add more emotion to the game to draw you in even more.

Overall though, this is an awesome start to a really good game!

The flying mechanics work well, and the speed boost by flying up and down is appealing. The game feel is a little ambiguous since the author has not decided about the further direction of game. I suggest to make it a flying-shooting game with the ability to burn down village and kill other dragons. 10/10
