I can see myself enjoying this both as a novice player and trying to perfect the un-intuitive use of the slide. It could be really cool to set up trail rendering with this and have a TRON light cycle. It looked like collisions with trees were turned off, but also if I was going fast enough I would pass through the blocks around the initial spawn point. It could be possible for a player to be moving fast enough to enter a block but then slow down, getting stuck inside unable to escape. Depending on how collisions are being handled, that could be a tough problem to deal with. Overall though, this is very nicely done.

The slide mechanics along with the acceleration and deceleration are all really tight and feel good. I would probably say it is a tad to fast and at times that made me a little dizzy. The textures are really nice, it almost feels like it is suppose to be a more futuristic sci-fi kind of feel. The no sound made it a little eerie though, but also uninteresting after awhile. But over all really good prototype.

I played it for a lot longer than I needed to! The drifting concept is a really cool and unique concept to play around with. I want to see where this game goes with the shooting. I spent a lot of time dodging the trees until I figured out that they didn’t have collision on them. If there had been it would have been way too difficult. Good Job!

The size of the map that you can travel in this prototype is impressive given the speed at which you accelerate up to. Maneuvering the bike is pretty smooth but when you turn on the slide it instantly feels out of your control which is a point that is defined clearly here. I found myself dodging the trees even though you could go right through them. That’s an example of the innate fun that this game has in only its mechanics.

The impression of speed is absolutely excellent, and the controls are tight and fun to mess with. In other words, the feel of the bike is extremely well done and is definitely fun. I noticed some of the collisions with the blocks don’t work all of the time, which is strange (maybe it’s the model?). I also think it could benefit from sounds (I didn’t hear any when I played). Other than that I think the prototype has good game feel, is fun, and is overall extremely well done. Excellent work!

Overall, the controls felt good and the sliding mechanic was very intuitive and realistic. I also liked that the map was large enough to move around on. The speed may be just a bit too fast for proper control, and for having a bike with guns and a way to steer the shots, there was nothing to actually shoot so it’s hard to judge any game play beyond the controls. I really missed having any sound effects, like the sound of an engine revving or the guns shooting, so after the initial “wow” it felt a little flat. But great job on the acceleration-deceleration forces to truly portray as if I’m actually sliding on top of the ice!
