It’s a little awkward navigating the maze because the path directions are at something like 40 and 50 degree angles with arrow keys. That being said, I think that the maze would not look as good if it were orthogonal to the keys. I just can’t think of a way to make navigating a diagonal maze feel as natural as navigating an orthogonal maze. Having stuff to kill would be great. I wouldn’t mind having a more difficult maze either. I think there is a lot of potential in your game concept.

I think the actual feel of the avatar could be worked to match the character you’ve established more. Cool concept and I think it could develop into a very cool game!

I think in terms of polish perhaps adding some sound effects and background music would help to set the mood. Lighting changes for when you get a powerup for a brief moment of time might also add an interesting aspect to the feel of the game.

I like the idea of collecting powers and fighting the monsters while escaping the maze. Though it would have given a better game feel if you added some sound effects.

The mechanics behind them are very satisfying. I do feel constantly lost and confused, the maze does a very good job accomplishing that. I think the game feel as far as the characters movement needs a little work, but I like the idea you have going!

The game seemed a little weak on actual ‘gamefeel’, in that the movement itself as fairly generic. Perhaps it would feel more immersive if there were actual creatures to fight though. Some sound would have helped.
