Both do a great job with the walking animations to show their feel, I especially like the weak walking animation as it shows a limp even though he has no legs. The top hat is a nice touch and the sounds pull a lot of it together. The music is good as well, and combined with the weee and oww sounds really emphasize the feelings. The collisions with the trees in the dizzy mode made me think he was jumping back rather than getting knocked, I think because of how far he moved, so toning that down may help. I also like the lighting change but felt the scary lighting could have been a little dimmer. It also would be nice if when he was dizzy the avatar would try to jump but fall over or something, to emphasize it even more.
Overall, nice job.

I like the way the avatar moves and also the feature that using mouse to rotation. In mode 1, the “wheeee” sound is funny and I can easily tell the avatar is joyful by just looking at the way it walks. The dizzy feeling is also very successful by spinning the avatar’s body around. The only thing I think you can improve is that adding some blinking particles circling above the avatar’s head to make the faint feeling more strong.
The mode 2 is pretty creative ! I love the assumption that the guy has now injured his leg so he is limping and moving slowly. And I can also easily tell that he is limping. Great animation ! The scary reaction is also very realistic. I cannot figure out what to improve in this mode at this point.
Overall, really awesome work ! I very enjoy playing it!

It is unbelievably natural with respect to the joyful mood. Also, like previous comments, I am definitely impressed by the behavior of the hat. It conveys a great sense of humor in the scene. I also noticed that when the avatar is still, there are some minor movements which makes the character human-like.
The control of sight angle with mouse is also a big plus. It is so intuitive and makes the motion easy to handle.
I think there is one thing might be helpful to make it even better. It is about the hat in the dizzy mode when the character enters the forests. I think the hat is making the character light and funny. But for the scared part, it might be a good idea to add some behavior of the hat to convey the “scared” emotion.

Great animations. I like the way it walks and jumps. It feels joyful. The music is soothing as well. Dizzy is too dizzy and difficult to control. (I tried walking through the swamp.) In mode 2, I would have liked to “limp” faster. But the limping conveys the feeling of weak very well. That is really creative. Amazing sound effect/polish for scared when it hits the swamp. It really has a great impact and scared me too. All of that is conveyed without the polish as well, but I like the scared one better with the sound effect. I guess, the hat is a great asset in conveying the startle and the joy and you have used it well. The background and lighting are also appropriate. I don’t like switching controls between the mouse and the keypad so that took some time to get used to. Otherwise, really amazing! “Hats off”!!

I love the little arms and top hat bouncing up when the avatar jumps. Very child-like. The controls are a bit difficult, since I can’t turn as sharply with the mouse as I can with the keyboard. I would also like to see the “dizzy” aspect more entwined with the rest. How the current motions and scenery are really tells a story.

Feel 2: I like how the jumping back scared animation is used for collisions to show that the avatar is scared. The limping animation is very impressive – especially since he doesn’t have any legs! It may be interesting if something in the scenery gave an incentive for the player to try to force the avatar to jump anyway – so that there’s a reason for that animation and to convey how the avatar is weak in this situation.

My idea was to create a smelly swamp/rain-forest environment in the center which makes the top hat dude dizzy from happy.
If you want to do something similar with character animations try and learn mecanim, its really powerful, I was able to this with minimal code and I don’t even have a art/animation background.

Background music, lighting, and world construction also reinforce these things.

Pretty much – this first dude is dead on the money. You could always embellish more, but I’d be floored if you didn’t get 100% credit for that.
