The character generally feels sluggish, and the movement scheme is not compliant with what the player would typically expect from it.

I think the different types of jumps would be great to complement a more standard movement system. Perhaps even have them as an additional, special type of jump next to a normal one.

The sounds complement the game well; some color/texture additions would be nice.

Great idea. I think the turbo jump could be implemented a little better. It took a long time to charge up. I think you can also add a lot more polish to the scene. There was no way to differentiate which mode you were in. Changing the background or character color would have been a start. I didn’t really get much of a light vs heavy feel from the prototype.

The sound support for the characters was also good. But it would have been better if the players were able to move on their own, and if the control was better for the characters. Changing colors or background would have given a better feel.
It would have been better to distinguish between the characters.

It’d be neat if you were able to continue adding boosts while in the air. He moves so quickly at a full burst that he can be difficult to navigate. Something like a color change or some sort of visual buildup might be helpful just for knowing when he’s about to shoot of.
Being able to control the characters as they fall is a nice touch.
