What you’ve written conjures images in my mind of what you might mean, but there’s not enough detail to lay it out. Leveraging the Enders Game analogy helps you (don’t need to provide as much detail) but … I don’t remember the battle rooms since I read that book before any of you were born! Provide a little more specifics about the room for folks who haven’t read the book, and give us more specifics about how you envision the movement working. Is there a hold-for-power action? can you move in space, and if so, how? How do you create pleasing movement with gravity arcs? How do you have rational combat if shooting changes your direction (sounds frustrating)?

The “ambitious goals” are not appropriate for P3 (nor is the win condition). Skip them; if you have the time to do them, then refine the goals! Mucking with gravity in this way will be challenging in a game engine like Unity, so I expect you will have your work cut out for you just creating pleasing controls that the player feels they can master!
